In 1957 Karl Kassbohrer of Germany and Continental Trailways of the United States spawned
the Eagle Motor Coach.
In 1961, production of the Eagle switched from Karl Kassbohrer's company to Belgium's
La Brugeoise. La Brugeoise, built approximately 4000 Eagles up until 1979, when it was
acquired by Mol.
In 1974 Eagle International was formed to build coaches for the US market and
manufactured coaches up until January 1998 when it was acquired by Maplex S.A.,
of Jalisco, Mexico.
